Moving Forward Sanctuary

Healing for All Sentient Beings

Moving Forward Sanctuary

Located in Southwest Ohio, Moving Forward is a 501(c)(3) sanctuary funded through cryptocurrency and fiat donations. Our vision is to provide every sentient being a lifetime of love with the goal of mutual healing and peace.

The way of life at Moving Forward calms the decadence needed to escape the pain. Through dedication, discipline, an untraditional prescription for healing, and by overcoming the physical and mental barriers of the suffering, Moving Forward provides a full life for the stricken, both human and animal alike.

Pets are Lifelines

Research shows that just looking into the eyes of your pet can lower your heart rate. Their presence alone is enough to calm you down, to give you warmth, to let you feel loved and soothed. One wonderful example is companion dogs trained to recognize an oncoming panic attack who help veterans in their struggles with anxiety. Equine-facilitated therapy (therapy using horses) is doing wonders for troubled teens and suffering adults. Companion animals help all kinds of individuals with special needs—providing care that we humans can’t or won’t give one another. More and more people - with or without anxiety or special needs - are feeling the need for "emotional support animals."  Close encounters with animals soothe us.

Challenging Physical Limitations

High-intensity interval training has been scientifically proven to relax the sympathetic nervous system which is responsible for "fight or flight." Those of us who exist in a hypervigilant state need to combat this elevated state of mind. Combined with the altruistic care of the animals at the sanctuary, HIIT training is extremely beneficial in reducing anxiety, depression, and PTSD complications.

Post-traumatic Stress Disorder

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric disorder that results from a variety of traumatic experiences including all forms of abuse, combat experience, natural disasters, or a life-threatening event. Complications linked to PTSD include heightened anxiety, depression, hypervigilance, trouble sleeping, issues with relationships, a lack of internal peace, and so much more. Traditional forms of therapy have not shown conclusive evidence in healing this debilitating disease. An untraditional path is provided here at the Moving Forward Sanctuary.
